Sculpture by José Subirà-Puig. Animal in patined oak. Signed. Circa 1990. José Subirà-Puig is a Spanish sculptor. After studying at the School of Fine Arts of Llotja in Barcelona in the workshop of Enric Monjo, he performs internships in the workshop of the sculptor Apel les Fenosa. In 1953 he moved to Paris. Exhibited his works in various international expositions. In 1984 he received the distinction of Chevalier in the Order of Arts and Letters and in 1985 became Laureate of the Elf Aquitaine Foundation. In 1986, he also won the first international sculpture prize of the Association for the Development of the Arts in Collioure France.

Après des études à l'Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Llotja à Barcelone dans l'atelier d'Enric Monjo, il effectue des stages dans l'atelier du sculpteur Apel les Fenosa. Il reçoit en 1984 la distinction de Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Arts et Lettres et, en 1985 devient Lauréat de la Fondation Elf Aquitaine. Il obtient aussi en 1986 le premier prix international prix de sculpture de l'Association pour le Développement des Arts à Collioure France.
